Payment Services

With the developments in information technologies, electronic payment methods have been included in our lives in addition to classical payment methods. With the Law No. 6493 on “Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions”, which entered into force in 2013, the legal framework for electronic payment methods was drawn.

Some of the services provided by Sönmez Law in the field of Electronic Money and payment services are as follows:

  • Managing the activity permit process at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey for institutions wishing to provide services in the field of payment services
  • Providing legal advisory services for payment and electronic money institutions,
  • Preparation of contracts within the scope of preventive legal services, supervision of contract processes, issuance of cease and desist notices,
  • Filing and pursuing all kinds of lawsuits of payment and electronic money institutions arising from receivable and debt relations.
